Browser Buddy Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 11, 2026. This Privacy Policy explains how LEXOR AXIOM S.R.L. collects, uses, stores, and shares personal data when you use Browser Buddy, including the Browser Buddy Chrome extension, the related billing pages, and connected account services.

1. Controller and contact details

Browser Buddy is offered by LEXOR AXIOM S.R.L., a Romanian limited liability company with registered office at Soseaua Industriala nr 7, Constanta 900147, Romania, registration number J2025096195003, tax ID RO53087130.

If you have privacy questions or want to exercise your rights, contact us at support@lexoraxiom.com.

2. What this policy covers

This policy applies to Browser Buddy’s extension features, account and billing flows, hosted billing pages, and support interactions. It does not govern third-party websites you open in your browser, even if Browser Buddy reads content from those pages when you ask it to help you.

3. Data we collect

Account and authentication data We process your email address, authentication provider details, and Firebase account identifier when you create an account or sign in.
Billing and subscription data When you subscribe, we process subscription status and Stripe reference data such as customer, subscription, price, and checkout identifiers. Payment card details are collected directly by Stripe and are not stored by Browser Buddy.
Chat, page, and screenshot data When you send a chat request, Browser Buddy may process your prompt together with the current page’s URL, title, visible text, headings, controls, tables, and a viewport screenshot captured only at the time you send the request.
Local extension storage The extension stores a local client identifier, chat/session state, saved chat history, privacy consent status, sensitive-site overrides, custom skills, and active-skill preferences in Chrome storage on your device.
Usage and security data We store plan and monthly usage records such as completed chats, token counts, and cost estimates. We may also process request metadata and hashed IP-based rate-limit signals to protect the service from abuse.

4. How we use personal data

  • To authenticate you and keep your Browser Buddy account available across sessions.
  • To provide the chat and page-assistance features you request.
  • To operate recurring subscription billing and the Stripe customer portal.
  • To measure included usage and enforce plan limits.
  • To secure the service, prevent abuse, investigate issues, and respond to support requests.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, and record-keeping obligations.

5. Legal bases

Depending on the context, we process personal data because it is necessary to perform our contract with you, because it is necessary for our legitimate interests in operating and securing Browser Buddy, because you have given consent where a consent-based prompt or setting applies, or because processing is required to comply with legal obligations.

6. When data is required versus optional

Account credentials are required to use authenticated Browser Buddy features. An email address is required to start billing. Page context and screenshots are only processed when you choose to use the chat features. Custom skills and saved chats are optional user-controlled features.

7. Service providers and sharing

We share data only as needed to run Browser Buddy and meet legal obligations. Key providers include:

  • Google Firebase for authentication, hosting, and backend infrastructure.
  • Stripe for subscription billing, payment links, invoices, and customer portal management.
  • OpenRouter and the model providers used through OpenRouter to generate AI responses.
  • Professional advisors, authorities, or counterparties when disclosure is legally required.

8. International transfers

Some providers we use may process data outside your country. When that happens, we rely on the provider’s legal transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards where required by applicable data protection law.

9. Retention

  • Browser Buddy account and usage records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service, manage subscriptions, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations.
  • Local extension data remains on your device until you delete it, clear browser extension storage, or uninstall the extension.
  • Stripe may retain payment and billing records for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and accounting purposes, even after Browser Buddy deletes the data it directly controls.

10. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, or object to certain processing of your data, and to request portability where available. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. You can exercise your rights by emailing support@lexoraxiom.com.

You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe your data protection rights have been violated.

11. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Children

Browser Buddy is not intended for children under 16. Do not use the service if you are under the minimum age required to agree to these terms on your own in your jurisdiction.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice through the extension, the billing site, or another reasonable method. The updated policy becomes effective when posted with a new effective date.
